CATHERINE MOORE
“I have always loved music, and I love accounting because it's a puzzle—at the end of the day, you know you'll find the answer," Catherine Moore says. That instinct for pattern recognition and precision has made her one of Nashville's most sought-after advisors to touring artists and award-winning songwriters navigating the financial complexity of modern music careers.
In 2015, Catherine co-founded Farris, Self & Moore, building a firm designed to serve the industry's top creative talent with institutional-grade capabilities and integrated financial planning. The firm has since grown to four partners with the addition of Stephanie Alderman. Today, FSM represents more than 60 clients behind more than 100 No. 1 songs with a 35-person team.
A CFP® professional, Catherine describes herself as "the numbers behind an artist's career," advising on catalog valuations, tour economics, tax strategy, and wealth planning. She focuses on what drives real value in complex financial decisions. In an industry built on creativity and momentum, she helps clients understand not just what to do, but why, ensuring every financial decision aligns with their long-term goals. "We're there for it all, from touring to music videos to album releases," she says. "Being part of what makes it all happen is incredibly fulfilling."
Recognized on Billboard's Power Players and Women in Music lists, Catherine serves on the Leadership Music Board and Executive Committee, as Treasurer for Musical Bridges, and served previously on the SOURCE Nashville board as Treasurer. A SOLID alumna and member of the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, SOURCE Nashville, and The Recording Academy, her past honors include Nashville Top 30 Under 30, Nashville Emerging Leaders, GRAMMY Next Class, and Nashville Business Journal's Women in Music.
