STEPHANIE SELF

Stephanie Mundy Self has spent over 18 years building systems that allow sophisticated business management to scale without losing its personal touch. That focus began with a pivotal realization during her years as a vocal performance major at the University of Georgia. "I was watching friends in the music program struggle to get jobs," she says. "I realized I wanted to work with performers, but from behind the scenes—helping them succeed." She added a second major in Risk Management & Insurance at the Terry College of Business and earned a Music Business certificate from the program's inaugural class, positioning herself to become the kind of advisor artists need.

She honed her expertise at another Nashville firm, working with major artists and leading a team for eight years before identifying her opportunity: co-founding Farris, Self & Moore with Kella Farris and Catherine Moore in 2015 to build a firm where that level of expertise came with genuine personal attention and accessibility. The firm has since grown to four partners with the addition of Stephanie Alderman and today represents more than 60 clients behind over 100 No. 1 songs and over 20 billion streams with a 35-person team.

Stephanie advises artists and songwriters on every dimension of their financial lives, translating complex decisions into clear strategy and ensuring seamless execution—always with the understanding that it's their money and their goals driving every decision. Nothing falls through the cracks.

"I am a numbers person," she says, "but it's more about the relationship."

Named CMA Touring Awards Business Manager of the Year in 2022, Stephanie has been recognized multiple times on Billboard's Top Business Managers, Country Power Players, and Women in Music lists, as well as on MusicRow's InCharge list and Nashville's Top 30 Under 30. She has been honored as UGA's Top 40 Under 40 and Terry College of Business’s Young Alumni of the Year. She serves on the Board of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, her alma mater, and previously served as Treasurer of the Nashville Film Festival and on the board of Nashville Emerging Leaders and the Nashville Women's Music Business Association, as well as on the University of Georgia Terry College of Business Young Alumni Board. She is a member of the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, and The Recording Academy. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, she lives in Franklin, TN with her husband and three children.
